5月29日（日）のNHKニュース7で当社のIP-S2Liteを利用した国土地理院の新しい試みが取り上げられました。この試みは被災地の状況をIP-S2 Liteの360°カメラで撮影し、新たな被災地図を作成するというもので、被災地の復興に役立つ技術として紹介されました。
PC画面の地図上で任意の場所を選ぶと現地の状況が動画で再現される地図と動画像の連動機能や、航空写真では分からない詳細状況の把握、任意の点を結んで津波の高さを測る計測機能など復興での活用が期待されており、国土地理院応用地理部では順次自治体や防災機関に提供することが報道されました。
